Musical Direction

Nicolai Bernstein first studied violin with Prof. Sophia Jaffé, among others, at the Musikhochschule Frankfurt. He then studied in the Master’s programme for historical interpretation practice. For some years now, he has been increasingly active as a conductor and since 2016 has been chief conductor and part of the artistic management of the “Kammerphilharmonie Frankfurt”. With this young, innovative ensemble, he realised the interdisciplinary project “The Melting Pot” in 2017. In 2018, he made his conducting debut at the “Europäische Wochen Passau” festival with his Mozart project “The Unanswered Question”. Since 2019, he has been a scholarship holder of the “Akademie Musiktheater heute” of the Deutsche Bank Foundation. https://kammerphilharmonie-frankfurt.de/musiker_innen/nicolai-bernstein/
