The festival blends dynamic fields with sensory audience experiences, expressive solos, and beauty as incidental. It shows the absurdity of life alongside self-irony and randomness. Baroque music and contemporary dance meet artists from earlier centuries, between extroverted eccentricity and spiritual asceticism, ephemeral blossoms of art grow.

The soundance festival berlin was founded in 2017 and takes place annually. It presents projects by dancers, choreographers, musicians and composers from Berlin's independent scene and invites international guest artists. As a source of inspiration for the dialog between the disciplines, the festival presents a broad spectrum of artistic styles from improvisation to choreography, analog and electronic. Across generations, diverse works and formats between sound and movement are experienced by the audience in the theatre and in the urban space.
