About us

The soundance festival berlin presents joint projects by dancers, choreographers, musicians and composers from the Berlin independent scene and invites international guest artists. As a stimulus for dialogue between the various disciplines, the festival presents a broad spectrum of artistic styles, from contemporary dance to real-time music, from Post Butoh to New Jazz and improvisation - analog and electronic. Across generations, diverse works and formats between sound and movement will be experienced by audiences in theater and urban space.

The soundance festival berlin was founded in 2017. The festival is supported by b.arts.u - berlin arts united gemeinnützige UG. Long-time cooperation partner and venue is the DOCK11.

Artistic production management, curation

As an artist, dancer-choreographer, cultural manager, curator, lecturer, festival director and mother, it is my concern to initiate and create meeting spaces for society with dance and art. In addition to a contemporary dance education, I hold an MA in Fine Arts, with a focus on performance and film/visual media.
For more than 20 years I have been developing my own projects in cooperation with players from various disciplines. My artistic work has received international recognition, grants and awards.

Technical support streaming, festival trailer, editing

I am a French video artist who lived and worked in Berlin from 2003 - 2021 and has been back in France since 2021.
I create video tools and content for stage productions.
My main tool is Max/Msp/Jitter, a visual programming language for music and multimedia.
I consider the computer as a collaborator, able to suggest and create artistic elements. Using controlled randomness and probability is an important aspect of my practice, giving rules, limitations and (unlimited) variations on which to build further.
