Golnar Shahyar

Iranian/Canadian singer and multi-instrumentalist Golnar Shahyar is based in Vienna since 2008, and became known as one of Europe’s most accomplished contemporary and improvisation vocalists. She composes and produces her own music and a collaborates in dance, theater and Opera projects. As a solo artist and with groups like Choub, Gabbeh, and the Golnar and Mahan Trio she tireless advocates for social justice and has made this passion an integral part of her work.
