dranbleiben is a companion format of the soundance festival berlin and is dedicated to the interaction between dance and music.
The workshop music and movement – interactions and similarities, led by cellist Ulrike Brand, provides access to improvisation and begins with the lecture You won`t be judged. A joint performance with the dancer-choreographer Valentina Bordenave will conclude the encounter.

Participation is open to all interested parties. No professional background is required. Participation is possible with an instrument, your own voice, or movement/dance. Simple exercises and games that combine sound and movement flow into free improvisation. Included is a lecture on learning and developing free improvisation.
Participation will take place in accordance with the current hygiene framework of the city of Berlin and the current hygiene protection measures of the DOCK11/EDEN studio using the 2G regulation.
An oral nasal protection mask (medical or FFP2) is to be brought along. Further adjustments due to the pandemic situation are possible. Participation is free of charge. The number of participants is limited. Registration by email:
