Δtopia | screening

Δtopia is a contemporary dance and sonic arts performance by Die Wolke art group that uses sensor interfaces to facilitate the electronic interaction between movement and sound, by measuring attributes of motion in real time. The sonic material originates from artist interviews, focusing on questions on the topics of place, displacement, and distance. On stage, the motion data is used to modulate, resequence, or otherwise distort them. The resulting displacements create the tensions, densities, and perceptual abstractions, towards a piece that is ultimately about the ebbs and flows of information through its process.
