Laurent Charles

Originally from Verdun, France, Laurent Charles studied the saxophone at the French Regional Conservatories of Music in Metz and Versailles before turning to contemporary creation and improvisation. He has been performing and teaching since the late 1980s. Over the years, his work has developed around the relationship between sound and movement, as well as other forms of artistic expression such as theater and the visual arts. During his career, he has participated in a number of music collectives and performed in France and abroad.
