Hui-Chun Lin is a cellist and an active member of Berlin’s improvised music scene, regularly performing at and curating improvised chamber music events. Her original style includes a broad sound range, dramatic intensity, and a unique musical grammar. She regularly performs with the Berlin Improvisers Orchestra, Ocean of Pink dots Duo, Mensagem Ensemble and has performed throughout Europe. In 2015, she co-founded the label, Maybee Records.

About soundance festival berlin

The soundance festival berlin presents joint projects by dancers, choreographers, musicians and composers of the Berlin independent scene and invites international guest artists. As an impulse for the dialogue between the different genres, the festival presents a broad spectrum of artistic styles from contemporary dance to real-time music, from Post Butoh to New Jazz and improvisation – analog and electronic. Cross-generational, diverse works and formats between sound and movement in theater and urban space will be experienced by the audience. The soundance festival berlin was founded in 2017.
